Understanding isolation in men
The public health team in Leicester is currently running two surveys to find out about the impact of social isolation and loneliness in men and want to hear from local organisations and individual men.
Its health and wellbeing survey in 2024 reports that 8.9% of men reported feeling some sort of social isolation.
But the figure is likely to be higher. The public health team is exploring how to address the issue and will use the survey results to inform this.
There is a survey for local organisations and a survey for individuals.
Both surveys close on 30th January 2026.
