The Leicestershire Carers Strategy 2026-2030 sets out our vision and priorities for recognising, valuing and supporting Leicestershire carers to make a positive difference. The strategy incorporates legislation and national policy relevant and outlines our priorities on how we will support carers to continue caring.

The 8 week public consultation for the new Leicestershire Carers Strategy runs from Monday 20th April until Sunday 14 June 2026.

If you are a carer or you work with carers in Leicestershire or you are an interested member of the public, we are keen to hear your views. This is your opportunity have your say and help finalise the Leicestershire Carers Strategy. We will develop our action plan which will set out how we will work closely with carers and key partners to achieve our priorities.

The new Leicestershire Carers Strategy: 2026-2030 is for carers who cares for someone who lives in Leicestershire and/or is registered to a GP in Leicestershire.
